Women's Group

The women’s group of MacArthur Park Lutheran Church meets on the second Thursday of each month, September - May at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside room.

The focus of the group is service, fellowship, and sharing the love of Christ.

We study the word through devotionals, share our personal experiences and hear from various guest speakers throughout the year.

Our creative talents are used in designing greeting cards for the Meals on Wheels recipients, making felt Christmas ornaments for the students of MacArthur Park Lutheran preschool  and the Church Sunday School children each year, and are responsible for the Baptismal banner which is presented to each child when they are baptized in our church.

This year we are excited about making Christmas ornaments in celebration of our 50th anniversary which will be presented to each family attending the festivities in December.

He who buries his talent is making a grave mistake. neglect not the gift that is in thee.  1 Timothy 4:14a

Our service project each year is to assemble kits for the Lutheran World Relief  program and we also support various activities and fund raisers for the MacArthur Park Lutheran preschool.

Fellowship is a important  part of our meeting.  We always enjoy our December meeting where we have a meal, cookie exchange and white elephant gift exchange as well as our yearly game night.

The women are especially proud of compiling, editing, creating, and selling  a cookbook to celebrate our churchÕs 50th anniversary.   The cookbook is being sold for $12.00 each with the sales going to the Church.

We invite all women to come and share an evening with the women of MacArthur Park Lutheran Church.
