Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:22PM Church member Bjorn Dybdahl is co-host of a program, "San Antonio Movers and Shakers" on Saturday mornings on radio station KLUP. The format of the show involves interviewing outstanding members of the community to get their life stories. Among those having been interviewed are former mayor Lila Cockrell and Bill Greehey, founder of Valero Energy Corporation.
Persons wishing to place flowers in honor of or in memory of loved ones may sign up to do so on the flower chart at the back of the church. One for 2012 will be put up soon. Persons may either purchase flowers for the flower stands or for under the altar or they may make a donation to the church and silk flowers will be used.
The MacArthur Park Lutheran Church 50th Anniversary cookbook called "Heavenly Delights" is for sale for $12. They can be purchased in the church office or from Mary Ann Anderson.
The MacArthur Park Lutheran Church purpose statement is "Live the gospel. Change the world."
